IRELAND'S tourism scene is buzzing back to life, with visitor numbers climbing and the Emerald Isle rolling out the green carpet for travellers keen to slow down and savour the magic beyond the usual hotspots.

After a bruising pandemic, the latest numbers tell a story of resilience.

While we're not quite back to the glory days of 2018 and 2019 — when more than 9.3million foreign visitors packed their bags for Ireland — last year still saw a solid 6.59m overnight guests, up from 6.26m in 2023.
