Subscription service will whip gutters into shape

- BY RACHEL BERESFORD

CLEANING your gutters - is there a more thankless domestic job around? It's so much work for so little visible reward.

And don't get me started on the mess it causes! After a good gutter clear-out, you need your fascia washed and then you have the window-cleaning to contend with.

It's a full day's work... for the ordinary Joe Soap (pun very much intended). But if you farm this job out, it can be done in less than two hours and far better than you could have done yourself.

Last month I called in the professionals, the company you will have heard of and seen online unless you've been living under a rock - thecleaningcompany.ie.

Owned by Luke Joyce, this company has exploded over recent years thanks to rave reviews from customers.

And it's easy to see why - Luke and his team exude professionalism. And while the company's popularity means you won't get a spur-of-the-moment appointment at the drop of a hat (and more on the solution to that later), you'll be over the moon with the final result once you do manage to nail them down.
