Slot's lot disjointed but Amorim's Devils pull off gloom-lifting result

Robertson is sitting on the bench with his left-back role having been taken by Milos Kerkez.

Kerkez’s form has been, in my eyes, unconvincing since his summer move from Bournemouth but he is now in front of Robertson in the pecking order and Slot doesn't appear to have any intent to put the Scotland star back on.

On the other side of the defence, Conor Bradley is not doing it.

I thought he was the real deal but he has not made the most of his chance, an is not looking the player many thought he might become.

This setback does not mean that there are not good players in the team, there clearly are; Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai, for example, are very good.

But Slot has bought so many new faces. Alexander Isak, who cost €144m, was taken off yesterday.
