Rory will not shirk Masters elbow grease

RORY McILROY will seek “treatment” on his right elbow before making his latest bid to win the Masters next week.

The world No.2 shot a closing 64 to finish tied fifth at the Texas Children’s Houston Open - his last round before Augusta.

But the Ulsterman said: “My right elbow has been bothering me a little bit so maybe get some treatment on that to make sure that is OK going into Augusta.”

McIlroy made a “slight adjustment” to reduce the loft on his driver before the final round and carded eight consecutive threes in his best round of the week.
