RAPIST Terence Crosbie has been transferred to a supermax prison, notorious for allegations of extreme violence against inmates.

- BY LIAM MCINERNEY

The 39-year-old former Dublin firefighter was jailed last week for seven years for attacking a woman in a Boston hotel before last year's St Patrick's Day festivities.

He had already served 20 months in Suffolk County Jail in Boston, but following his conviction last week, the father-of-two was moved to Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center.

This supermax facility, which houses 1,000 men, made headlines when the State of Massachusetts agreed to a $6.75million settlement with 150 current and former prisoners.

They alleged they were subjected to brutal retaliation after several guards were assaulted by other inmates in January 2020.

TASERS

Those responsible for the attack, which resulted in injuries to officers, were reportedly transferred to other prisons.

The lawsuit also included allegations of eye-gouging and testicle-grabbing.
