Group plan to sue after 'political violence' claim

RAPPERS Kneecap last night said they plan to take legal action against a Canadian politician - after the group was banned from the country for "advocating political violence".

The Belfast hip-hop trio was due to perform in Toronto at two shows in October, and at two others in Vancouver.

The claim was made by Canadian MP and parliamentary secretary Vince Gasparro who wrote on X: “On behalf of the Government of Canada I am announcing that on the advice of our officials, we have deemed the group Kneecap ineligible to enter our country.

“Our government will not tolerate the advocating of political violence, terrorism or anti-Semitism and hate more broadly.”
