McGRATH DID NOT LUKE ELSEWHERE

LUKE McGrath has watched other Leinster half-backs make moves this season - but was clear in his mind what he wanted.

McGrath (32) signed on for another campaign and that will bring him up to almost 13 years in the blue jersey.

While young scrum-half Ben Murphy left for Connacht last summer, out-half Harry Byrne is still on loan to Bristol and his brother, Ross, is leaving for Gloucester at the end of the season, McGrath had no interest in considering other options.

“I didn’t really look this year,” he said.

“I wanted to be in Leinster for next year, which thankfully I did.

“I really don't know what's going to happen in the future but this year, all I wanted to do was sign on for Leinster.
