ROCK and roll royalty said a tearful goodbye to Stone Roses hero Mani at his funeral yesterday.

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher was among famous musicians and footballers who turned out to pay respects to popular bassist Gary Mounfield.

Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown said at yesterday's Manchester Cathedral service: "We will celebrate his life like the beautiful human being that he was - he's a brother to me."
