Band's hit Killeagh is biggest Irish song in a single year this decade

KINGFISHR'S hit track Killeagh is the biggest song in a single year this decade by any artist in Ireland, new figures from the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) have shown.

New data reveals that the Irish charts have experienced massive growth since the association incorporated audio streaming in 2014 and 2025 continued to break records, with 13.2billion audio streams, a 6% increase on 2024.

It was an eехсерtional year for Irish acts at home and internationally, with Fontaines D.C. and CMAT nominated yet again for the Mercury Prize, while Kneecap left their mark everywhere from Glastonbury to Coachella.
