KELLY BRADY has been called many things in her young career, but the one that seems to stick is the one that best captures her essence: a sponge.

Carla Ward said it first, others echoed it, and Brady herself doesn’t flinch from it.

If anything, the Athlone Town star, named the PFAI Women's player of the year embraces it. Because in her first Ireland camp where the margins tighten and the pace spikes, absorption becomes survival.

“I'm constantly looking for feedback,” she said. “You're expected to do well in camp, to execute. The big thing I got was to hopefully go full-time at a club - and to keep the hungry attitude.”

Hunger she has in abundance. Certainty? That's still forming.
