KEANE RAMBLES ON TO VICTORY
Irish Daily Star
|March 12, 2026
A CHELTENHAM afternoon that had everything, ended in jubilant scenes with six-time Irish champion flat jockey Colin Keane riding an historic first Festival winner.
Meath native Keane, 31, became the first flat-based rider to win at Cheltenham since Jamie Spencer in 2002, when partnering the Noel Meade-trained The Mourne Rambler (8-1) to victory in the Champion Bumper.
Willie Mullins had earlier scored an astonishing 503-1 Grade One treble with wins for King Rasko Grey, Kitz-buhel and Il Etait Temps.
