Milner wants to continue his Seagulls adventure

- BY IAN BAKER

JAMES MILNER insists he still has at least one more year of football in him - just months after fearing he would never walk again.

The veteran midfielder, 39, is in talks over a new one-year deal at Brighton after his return as a late sub in their 4-1 Premier League win at Tottenham on Sunday.

It ended nine months of injury agony for the former Liverpool and Manchester City man, who said: "It was not an ideal scenario. I didn't know whether I could walk properly again let alone play football again.

"I had a contact injury in training before the Arsenal game on my knee, then my hamstring went. But there was nothing wrong with my hamstring.

"I had a knee operation and knee reconstruction. But then the nerve got damaged.
