Luton boss Wilshere relishing second chance in management after playing career was ravaged by injury

- BY JOHN CROSS

JACK WILSHERE admits he has unfinished business with the beautiful game.

The 33-year-old has made an impressive start as Luton Town boss which should not be a surprise to anyone who knows him.

He is a bright and determined young coach with a hunger to succeed.

But there is also a sense of frustration from his days as a player. He had a fine career with Arsenal, won 34 caps for England, yet injury curtailed his playing career when he was aged just 30.

Wilshere comes from a generation that does not need to drop down to League One to kick-start a managerial career but he is grateful for the chance and is ready to graft.

“One of the reasons is that I didn't think I reached my full potential in my career and I feel I've got so much to give,’ he admitted.

“I love the game so much. Everything about it. My kids love it, my family is family orientated and my life is about football.
