Mahon, 32, 'caught red-handed' with €600k cannabis after Bangkok flight
AN Irish drug mule “caught red-handed" smuggling nearly 30kg of cannabis worth €600,000 into Norway has been jailed for three years.
Jamie Mahon, 32, of Moneymore in Drogheda, Co Louth, was arrested by police at Oslo's Gardermoen Airport on January 9 on suspicion of smuggling two suitcases filled with cannabis.
She was arrested after arriving on a flight from Bangkok in Thailand when she was stopped by customs officers following an X-ray examination of her suitcases which showed irregularities.
Our exclusive image shows Mahon collecting the two suitcases while on a mobile phone at Bangkok Airport before boarding her flight to Oslo.
