Court told of 'quicklime' search on laptop a week later

Post Office in Youghal on Thursday and on Friday, March 24 the device was tracked to Fermoy where it was tracked at addresses of Tina's relatives Frank and Florence Dingvian, Fermoy Garda Station and back to the home address in Youghal.

CCTV footage of Satchwell in Youghal Post Office on the morning of Monday March 20 was also shown-with him being seen in and out of the premises with his dogs.

Earlier Superintendent Annmarie Twomey told the court the accused became a suspect in August 2022 and that following a case review, she formed the view that Mrs Satchwell was dead.

During cross-examination from Mr Grehan, the witness said she believed there was “reasonable grounds” for a more invasive search of Satchwell’s home in September 2023.
