Rodgers fumes over tame Perth surrender

- MICHAEL GANNON

COSY AND TOO DOZY

RAGING Brendan Rodgers blasted his stuttering Celtic squad for getting too cosy at the top of the table.

The Hoops stumbled to defeat to relegation strugglers St Johnstone for the first time in eight years to fail to set up a potential title party against Kilmarnock next weekend.

And Rodgers admitted he was "angry" at some of the recent warning signs as he accused some of his players of trying to coast over the finishing line.

Celtic remain 13 points clear of Rangers and two wins away from the title but the man-ager won't accept any free-wheeling.

Rodgers said: "It's mentality. It's a group that has mental strength. But I've been in teams, especially up here, where you just power your way through the season, right to the very end.

"And there's maybe a few that are comfortable. When you're comfortable you become a bit timid and you lose duels and you lose the fight.
