CITY ACE KEATING OUT FOR SEASON

IT has been confirmed by the Cork City manager that their striker Ruairi Keating is unlikely to play again this season after he underwent surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon injury yesterday.
Keating picked up the injury at the Brandywell and Cork boss, Tim Clancy, expressed concern about the ground’s artificial surface, while confirming that the striker will not return to action for ‘six to nine months’.
Clancy said: “It (the Brandywell playing surface) is something that (the FAI) need to look at.
