Cantona: Ratcliffe has sold Utd soul

ERIC Cantona has launched a savage attack on Manchester United and accused the club of “selling its soul” and “trying to destroy everything”.

The United legend has turned his back on the club after claiming his offer to return to Old Trafford, to help the Glazers and co-owner Jim Ratcliffe, was snubbed.

Cantona was at Old Trafford last weekend for the goalless Manchester derby and also visited FC United, in which he has bought shares for all his family to become co-owners of the breakaway club.

But Cantona, who graced Old Trafford as a player for five years, criticised Ratcliffe’s decision to make up to 450 United staff redundant, in a bid to cut costs at the club.
