Trump wreaks havoc all around him

Pulsating hope of Obama era well and truly lost as

announces himself as the very face of evil, the load of global worries too heavy to pull.

Our world drowns in the genocidal flood of Palestinian children's tears.

At home, in a climate undappled by reason, vile threats are made against a politician's children. Just

of decency.

So much sad and bad blood flows though the veins of our poisoned planet.

At times, despair and helplessness can overwhelm and it feels as if all of us, every last one of an increasingly unstable orb's 8.2billion inhabitants, are having their death row meal prepared.

Daily horrors unspool before numbed eyes, psychopathy and derangement and witlessness the gold-standard currencies of these warped times.

Demagogues sense their moment, dark lords wrap themselves in cloaks of depravity as they stir from their lairs.

Obama, for all his lyrical flourishes, for all the hugely consequential importance of his groundbreaking election and, for all that he made his liberal fanclub swoon, was a long way from a note perfect president.
