Grivosti says Saints have the top guns to take flight

TOM GRIVOSTI believes St Patrick's Athletic have the firepower to overcome their struggles in front of goal - even without some key attackers.

Stephen Kenny's side paid for their lack of a cutting edge last season when they failed to qualify for Europe, despite having the meanest defensive record in the Premier Division.

And they opened their 2026 campaign last weekend with a scoreless draw against Bohemians at the Aviva Stadium.

They have lost last season's top scorer Mason Melia, while Simon Power is out for two months with knee ligament damage.

Zack Elbouzedi came off towards the end of the first-half against Bohs last weekend with a suspected hamstring issue, while New Zealand striker Max Mata missed out through injury. And winger Jake Mulraney made the shock switch during the winter to rivals Shamrock Rovers.
