REACHING HIGH has been the object of an Ascot Stakes plunge to give the King and Queen a winner on the opening day of Royal Ascot.

The former Sir Michael Stoute trainee, who failed by a short head to make a winning start for Willie Mullins at Leopardstown last month, was 12-1 with William Hill for the two-and-a-half-mile handicap at the start of trading yesterday. But a welter of support has forced the son of Sea The Stars — Mullins has secured the services of Ryan Moore — down to 5+1 favourite.
