Priest warns of long delays for funeral services

FAMILIES could face delays of over a week to bury loved ones in future due to a shortage of priests.

It comes following a recent admission from the Bishop of Galway and Clonfert Michael Duignan predicting that, over the next decade, there will be just 20 priests to serve over 40 parishes in the Galway Diocese alone.
