OMBUDSMAN TO MISS DECIDER

THE Irish Champion Stakes decider between Ombudsman and Delacroix is off after John Gosden revealed autumn plans for his star fouryear-old do not include Leopardstown on Saturday week.

The score between Ombudsman and his Aidan O'Brien-trained rival currently stands at one apiece.

The three-year-old Delacroix got the upper hand by a neck in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown in July before his elder levelled the scores with a three-and-a-half-length success in the Juddmonte International at York last month.
