'Scores die' in weekend's bombardment Trump in fresh plea for a peace deal

ISRAEL continued to pound Gaza over the weekend, with reports of dozens killed and hundreds more injured.

At least 11 people died in a strike near a stadium in Gaza City that was being used to house refugees, according to Al-Shifa hospital staff.

One witness, Ahmed Qishawi, said: "This area was packed with tents now the tents are under the sand. We spent hours digging with our bare hands." US President Donald Trump yesterday urged the parties to make a deal and said he was hopeful a ceasefire could be agreed in the next week.
