Migrant boat pyre set alight

EFFIGIES of migrants on a boat went up in flames last night at the lighting of the Moygashel bonfire.

There had been calls to remove the structure that had been branded “racist” and threatening” from the pyre on the outskirts of Dungannon in Co Tyrone.

Below the boat are several placards and the display, containing more than a dozen life-sized mannequins wearing life jackets, sparked widespread outrage.
