Man whose car skidded into river just became dad to 2nd child

A MAN who tragically died following a car crash has been named locally as a 34-year-old father of two, who had only recently become a dad to his second child.

Joice Thomas, from Kambammettu in India, sadly lost his life on Friday in a fatal accident while driving home from work during heavy rainfall.

The car he was driving skidded off the road and entered the River Bride, Co Cork, and became submerged in the water.

When Mr Thomas did not reach home, his friends immediately alerted the authorities.

Gardai, along with friends and local volunteers, initiated an extensive search operation.
