IT'S EUROPE OR BUST FOR HUNGRY SAINTS

TOM GRIVOSTI insists St Pat's FAI Cup semifinal meltdown is out of the system as they gear up for one final European push.

- BY PAUL O'HEHIR

The Saints were reeling when their hopes of reaching the final at Aviva Stadium were snuffed out at Cork City.

It was a haunting 3-0 defeat and because of the international break, Stephen Kenny (inset) and his players were left stewing over it for two weeks.

But centre-back Grivosti says that night of huge frustration has been parked as St Pat's try to climb the table and finish in the European spots.

They are sixth in the standings — four points off fourth spot, which will offer a European ticket providing Shamrock Rovers beat Cork in that FAI Cup final next month.

Rovers will clinch the league title at Richmond Park tonight if they draw, but actually any result will do if second-placed Derry City fail to win in Waterford.

But while Grivosti would rather not see one of St Pat's biggest rivals celebrating a title win on their own patch, his focus is on salvaging something from the season.
