Icy weather warnings for every county

EVERY county in the country will be under a weather warning for a time during the weekend, as a period of low temperature and snow sets in.

Met Eireann issued a Yellow warning for snow and ice for Donegal between 8pm last night and 11am this morning.

It has issued two broader warnings covering the rest of Ireland between 6pm today and 11am tomorrow morning.

The first Yellow warning for low temperature and ice applies to Munster, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, and also Wicklow.

Forecasters said temperatures could fall to between -2C and -4C in many areas, with sharp or severe frost and icy stretches.
