TV team steps in to help cancer-hit mum sort out house

A YOUNG mother with brain cancer is helped out by the team on RTE's Home Rescue: The Big Fix this week.

Caoimhe O'Reilly and her husband Arran Coffey bought their dream home in 2020 in Ballycanew, Co Wexford.

But then Caoimhe suffered a massive seizure when she was 38 weeks pregnant and was later diagnosed with brain cancer just days after giving birth to son Frankie.

She needed surgery to remove a tumour and now has MRI scans every few months to monitor her condition.

Caoimhe tells the programme: "I thought I was going to die. I've been sad about it, but I just get on with it. I'm going to be happy and live my life."
