Harvey's mum hopes threats to Harris not in her son's name

THE mother of young Harvey Morrison Sherratt has spoken out against the “unacceptable” threats made towards Simon Harris and his family, labelling them “disgusting”.

Gillian Sherratt also shared her hope that these threats were not made in Harvey's name.

Harvey died in July at the age of nine after waiting seven years for scoliosis surgery. Despite finally undergoing surgery seven months prior to his death, the severe progression of his spinal curve meant it could no longer be fully corrected.

During his tenure as health minister, Tanaiste Simon Harris had promised that no child in Ireland would wait more than four months for scoliosis treatment.
