GOLD IS READY TO SHINE

BY PETER O'HEHIR WILLIE MULLINS and Paul Townend (inset) have obvious chances in the jumps action in Tipperary, notably with Gold Dancer who will bid to follow-up his Grade 3 success at the Galway Festival in the ODS Engineering Novice Chase - also a Grade 3 contest.

Off the mark over fences on this track, Gold Dancer outstayed stable-companion Westport Cove in Galway, form boosted when the runner-up annexed a similar prize in Roscommon last Monday.

He's rated 3lb inferior to chief rival Pied Piper, a three-time winner over fences, but has more scope for improvement.
