Funeral tributes to 59-yr-old knife death woman

A WOMAN who died after a violent incident outside her home was remembered yesterday as a loved member of her community, an adoring mother and a dear friend.

Stella Gallagher, 59, passed away in hospital after suffering knife injuries along with her husband Brian in Ballinlough, Co Cork.

Mourners at Our Lady of Lourdes Church heard how the loss left her friends and family "with questions, aching and pleadings in our hearts".

Stella's brother-in-law Alan fought back tears as he paid a beautiful tribute on behalf of her husband Brian and their family.
