Fifa's prize for Trump 'breach of neutrality'
Irish Daily Mirror
|December 10, 2025
A HUMAN rights group is calling for a probe into Fifa chief Gianni Infantino after he awarded a peace prize to Donald Trump.
Fairsquare believes Mr Infantino may have abused his power if he alone made the decision to give the prize to the US President.
At Friday's live World Cup draw, watched by a billion TV viewers, Mr Infantino told Mr Trump: “You can always count on my support.”
He has made several public statements in support of Mr Trump ahead of the World Cup, which will be part-hosted by the USA next year.
