Election is boring ...but it'll be close

THE Presidential race is in danger of becoming the biggest democratic bore of all times.

Neither candidate is setting the campaign alight and the likelihood is we will see the lowest turnout ever.

Anyone I speak to is not impressed by either candidate and are furious at the politicians for the choices they were given.

Both are centrist candidates, one slightly to the Left and the other to the Right. They would probably agree on most things except neutrality and Europe.

There is a lot of talk about transparency in elections. Ms Connolly, a barrister, has yet to tell us whether she acted in eviction cases for the banks during the crash.

She has admitted doing work for the banks, nothing wrong with that, but will not say if she acted in eviction cases, a move which will be viewed as controversial especially since she has consistently slammed the Government for its appalling record on housing and homelessness.
