Mahon, 32, 'caught red-handed' with €600k cannabis after Bangkok flight

AN Irish drug mule “caught redhanded" smuggling nearly 30kg of cannabis worth €600k into Norway has been jailed for three years.

Jamie Mahon, 32, of Moneymore in Drogheda, Co Louth, was arrested by police at Oslo's Gardermoen Airport on January 9 on suspicion of smuggling two suitcases filled with cannabis.

She was arrested after arriving on a flight from Bangkok in Thailand when she was stopped by Customs Officers following an X-ray examination of her suitcases which showed irregularities.
