Pitch battle kicks off as arrests made and a number of people hurt | SFA say they will be investigating 'shameful' scenes at final whistle

A VIOLENT pitch invasion after yesterday's Old Firm Scottish Cup match at Ibrox has been branded an "'embarrassment".

After Celtic won the quarter-final match on penalties, supporters of both clubs stormed the pitch.

Sickening scenes saw flares fired into the midst of fans, while supporters, officers and those working at the stadium came under attack.
