Goals from James Clarke (2), Colm Whelan and Ross Tierney sealed the win against 10-man Drogheda, who hit back through Conor Keeley but had Josh Thomas sent off 14 minutes from the end.

Afterwards Reynolds, who has come under fire from fans this season, was critical of a section of the Bohs support, saying: "I think some of the stuff that's gone on has crossed the line, in my opinion.

"Look, to me personally, it doesn't bother me one bit. Mentally, I'm strong enough to go. I've been around long enough. You can say what you want.

"It's the players that are the most important thing. If some of the fans aren't happy that we're 4th and in Europe, I don't care."

He added: "I just thought the abuse last week [aimed at the players after the defeat to Shel-bourne]; there's board members there who are putting everything into it and I just thought it crossed the line."

The battle on Saturday for fourth place and a potential Europa Conference League spot was tense, with Bohs striking first in the 20th minute through Clarke, who chested the ball down outside the area, took it wide of James Bolger and drilled it across Luke Dennison and into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.
