77 given clemency over US poll plot

DONALD Trump has pardoned 77 allies embroiled in efforts to overturn the 2020 US election.
Those receiving "full, complete and unconditional" pardons include disgraced former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, ex-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, attorneys John Eastman and Kenneth Chesebro, adviser Boris Epshteyn and lawyer Sidney Powell.
All were linked to efforts to put forward alternative electors in states that Democrat Joe Biden won, although none had been charged with federal crimes.
