Ireland sizzles today before cool air makes brief return

IRELAND is in for some glorious weather today with sunshine and temperatures hitting 20C.

After a week of thundery showers for many, the weekend starts off with clear blue skies although the rain is expected to return for tomorrow.

The new working week will bring cooler-than-average temperatures before the mercury starts to rise again next weekend.
