Primary cooperative societies should become one stop centres - Minister Tummala

State Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao today participated in a conference organized by NCDC and Cooperative Union with 311 FPO as the chief guest at Prof. Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University in the city .Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the cooperative credit societies should change their perspective in line with the current needs and the changes taking place in the agricultural sector.

“They should not be limited to just one or two services but should contribute to the design of all services related to farmers. In addition to achieving financial prosperity, they can also be beneficial to farmers. On this occasion, mentioning the successes of Mulkanur Cooperative Credit Society, which is in Telangana and has become a role model in the cooperative sector across the country,” he said while noting that if cooperative societies carry out their responsibilities ethically and honestly and contribute to the development of the society, there will be opportunities for more cooperative societies like Mulkanur to emerge in our Telangana state.
