Williams will be given time

HULL City head coach Sergej Jakirovic says he will give Brandon Williams time to prove he's worthy of a deal at the MKM Stadium.

After handing him 20 minutes in the 2-1 win over Sunderland on Tuesday, Jakirovic says he believes everyone deserves a second chance.

Williams has endured a nightmare period in recent times and was handed a suspended jail sentence back in May for dangerous driving, with his promising career going off the rails, but will be given a chance by the Bosnian.

The 24-year-old, who burst onto the scene at Manchester United as a youngster, will remain at City on trial in the hope of earning a deal with the Tigers in the coming weeks.

"I like to help people because everyone deserves a second chance in life," the Bosnian told the Mail after the victory over the Black Cats.
