Summer fair fun for all the family

ON Saturday afternoon The Ferriby Social Club in North Ferriby are holding a Summer Fair traditionally called Lollapalooza in honour of a famous rock festival held in Chicago, Illinois.

The day of music and fun kicks off at 12 noon with live entertainment starting at 1.30pm.

Local musician Bobby J is starting off proceedings on the stage, following Bobby will be female vocalist Jade Scott.

The evening programme of entertainment starting around 8.30pm, will feature the popular outfit Abbey Road who will recreate some of pop music's finest tracks.

They perform songs from the Beatles back catalogue spanning the history of the “Fab 4” from the early Beatlemania hits like ‘She Loves You’ and ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand’ through to ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘Let It Be’.

The band is a very popular crowd pleaser they will headline the entertainment, wowing the crowd with hit after hit that seems to appeal to music lovers of all age groups.

There will be food available to purchase, an indoor soft play area, cake stall and much more. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

IT’S hard for most pubs and clubs in the current climate but even more so when a venue suffers a devastating fire.
