Rapana to sit out mandatory head injury protocol period

HULL FC back Jordan Rapana will sit out the mandatory 11-day head injury period before being considered fit enough to play again.

Rapana came off second best after a contact with Rhinos' half-back Jake Connor at Headingley last Friday and, after 10 minutes of treatment where he was originally unresponsive, left the field on a spinal board and a stretcher.

Thankfully, any neck injury was cleared, but Rapana did suffer a bang to the head, ruling him out of Thursday's game at Leigh Leopards.
