Premier League test for the Tigers

HULL City will face Premier League new boys Sunderland in one of their pre-season friendly encounters in preparation for the upcoming Championship campaign.

As the club nears the appointment of Kayserispor boss Sergej Jakirovic, this summer's pre-season schedule has started to take shape, with City also facing Stockport County for the first time in two decades.

That trip to Edgeley Park on July 26 will be the first chance supporters get to look at the new manager's team in action on English soil.

The Black Cats, fresh from their Wembley triumph, will return to East Yorkshire three days after the trip to Stockport on Tuesday, July 29, in what will be the first of two MKM Stadium outings prior to the big kick-off.
