No FC revenge motive

MATT Peet has insisted that there is no feeling of revenge in the Wigan Warriors camp ahead of Saturday's meeting against Hull FC and instead is buoyed by the club's “return to the party” this year.

The Black and Whites have been much improved this season, defeating Wigan at the Brick Community Stadium in March's Challenge Cup last 16 tie and, in the process, ending the Warriors’ run of seven consecutive trophies.

But Peet, who believes Hull's success is largely down to head coach John Cartwright, insists it's business as usual against a “good team’, with the side chasing hard for a Super League playoff position, a berth they currently hold after last week's comeback win over Wakefield Trinity.

Asked in his pre-match press conference if revenge is a motivator for his Wigan side, who have beaten Hull twice in Super League at the MKM Stadium already this year, Peet said: “Not one bit.

“They're a good team, as they've proven since they beat us.
