NEW OFFENCES PUT 38-YEAR-OLD IN BREACH OF A SUSPENDED SENTENCE
A HEAVY-drinking bully who left his terrified ex-girlfriend fearing that he would kill her - and menacingly warned her: “You're gone” - has finally been jailed after throwing away chances to avoid prison.
Obsessed alcoholic Stephen Allen told the woman “You're f***ing dead, mate” during a prolonged campaign of harassment against her, Hull Crown Court heard. He was originally spared prison but he has now been locked up after committing new offences, including assaulting police.
Allen, 38, of Main Street, Swanland, but recently in custody on remand, admitted breaching an 18-month suspended prison sentence that had been imposed on June 17 last year. He admitted further offences of threatening behaviour and assaulting police on February 15 this year and causing criminal damage on August 3.
James O'Connor, prosecuting, said Allen was in breach of a suspended sentence imposed for an offence of harassment, causing fear of violence, between February 14 and March 3 last year.
