HE HAS ALSO BEEN GIVEN A LIFETIME RESTRAINING ORDER
OBSESSED and vindictive troublemaker Roy Gibson brazenly repeated his lies and continued with his vendetta even after police investigated and discovered that there was absolutely no truth in his malicious claims, a court heard.
Gibson, 68, of Hessle, but recently in custody on remand, denied three offences of breaching a stalking protection order on December 23 and February 7 and 2. He also denied assaulting a police officer as an emergency worker on December 24 but he was convicted of all the offences in his absence after a trial.
Claire Holmes, prosecuting, told Doncaster Crown Court that a stalking protection order had been made against Gibson at Hull Magistrates' Court on December 20. It was intended to protect people who lived near him from deliberate stalking activities by him. Gibson breached the order on three occasions by making false allegations to the police and the local council that he knew were complete lies.
On one occasion, he falsely claimed that pepper spray had been squirted through his letterbox. The police investigated his story and looked at CCTV pictures for the area and found that nobody had been anywhere near his home.
