Joe Gelhardt overlooked as star misses out after EFL decision

HULL City's injured star Joe Gelhardt won't have a trophy to console him through his rehab process after missing out on the November player of the month award.

The Leeds United loan star was shortlisted for the monthly prize after his impressive goal-scoring exploits which helped the Tigers climb the Championship ladder. Gelhardt scored four goals and picked up an assist in his six games during the month, but it wasn't enough.

That's because it's a Coventry double celebration with Sky Blues forward Ellis Simms taking the player of the month award alongside boss Frank Lampard with the manager of the month accolade.
