Injury latest: Sezer update and forward close on return

HULL FC will make a call on Aidan Sezer after Friday's captain's run - with the half-back understood to have a good chance of featuring in Saturday's clash against Leigh Leopards.

The Black and Whites’ captain missed last Sunday's win over Salford Red Devils with a shoulder problem. However, scans have shown no serious issue with Sezer potentially playing with a painkilling injection.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Cartwright told Hull Live: “We'll give him until the captain's run. He's run, but he hasn't trained with the team yet.”

On his injury, Cartwright continued: “He doesn’t need surgery ~ that's all we know at the moment. He could (play with an injection). He's had a PRP done during the week. We'll see how he responds now.”

Elsewhere, Hull could welcome back Jordan Lane to action against Leigh. The back rower has been out with a broken arm since April, with a call to be made after the captain's run.
