Hollie's legacy lives on with 3rd year of Holliefest

NTO its 3rd year, Holliefest is a charity fundraising event in memory of Hollie Tennant who took her own life aged just 20 years old.

It is being held at The Constable Arms in Sproatley on Sunday from 1pm till 9pm with more than £33,300 raised so far in support of two local charities Hull & East Yorkshire Mind and Dove House Hospice.

One of the event organisers, Carl Rendle said: "We aim to help raise funds and awareness for the charities involved, as well as ensuring Hollie's legacy lives on.

We have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity our family, friends and the village community have shown us".

The fantastic lineup of live music, all performing for charity includes Kinda Queen, Rapture, Gallaghers, Turn Up To 11, female vocalist Rio and a 70s Disco to finish.

This is a family event with a kid's stall, face painting, raffle, Tombola a hog roast and BBQ. Entry is free with donations taken on the door.

IF you are looking for something to do this weekend, Social on Humber Street are hosting a two-day free folk festival on Saturday and Sunday.

In partnership with Hull Folk Festivals the two days will be a blend of folk music rooted in both tradition and the modern styles of Folk.
